INSTALLATION SmartMoto AIS VALVE ELIMINATOR KIT

Parts:

4 x Carb vacuum caps     

2 x Block off plugs        

1 x Airbox plastic cap          

The idea of the whole procedure is to block the AIS ports on the cylinder heads with the provided block off plugs, to block the AIS carburettors vacuum ports with the vacuum cabs and plug the airbox port of the AIS system plastic cap included in the kit.

This kit will let you completely remove the AIS system from your motorcycle.

Please read the steps carefully before starting the installation and note that the ignition must be turned OFF during the whole procedure

STEP 1: Remove the seat and remove the or support the fuel tank

STEP 2: Locate the AIS pipes attached on the cylinder heads (both left and right hand side)

STEP 3: Disconnect the rubber pipes from the metallic pipes on both sides

STEP 4: Unscrew the metallic pipes from the cylinder heads using a 13mm spanner and replace with the two block off plugs provided in the kit.

STEP 5: Locate the AIS pipe that connects to the airbox and disconnect it by pulling it.

STEP 6: Use the airbox plastic cap found in the kit to plug the airbox port

STEP 7: Locate the AIS solenoid just above the cylinder heads. Unscrew the 4 bolts holding it on the chassis, 2 on each side

STEP 8: Disconnect the vacuum pipes on the carburettors and cylinder inlets on both sides with the 4 vacuum caps

STEP 9: You can now remove the AIS solenoid and pipes from the motorcycle

You have bypassed the AIS system!

That’s it, now you can put everything in place and start the engine.
